Our under 12s are taking a trip to Broomlee Activity Centre in West Linton to have a break from their caring role. Team building activities which promote working together, communication, leadership skills and commitment are offered as well challenging the Young Carers and, of course, having lots and lots of fun!!!!
A joint working venture with Edinburgh Young Carers and North West Carers Centre means that 6 our our Young Carers will head off for a weekend trip (venue not confirmed as yet) in May.
We’ll also be heading back to the fourth Scottish Young Carers Festival to be held in August at Broomlee Activity Centre, West Linton. This is a fantastic opportunity for all young carers from across Scotland to get together and cultivate friendships, exchange experiences and realize they are not alone in their caring role. We always have a fab time! Lorna and Siobhan, from the Princes Trust for Carers, organise the whole event – and they are just fantastic at what they do.
